Care Guide
Lighting: Bubble corals thrive in moderate to high light. They’ll do best under quality LED systems or T5s positioned at mid-tank level. The brighter your lighting, the more vibrant the pink coloration will be. Flow: Provide gentle to moderate flow—enough to keep the bubbles gently swaying without blasting them. Avoid turbulent current that can stress or deflate the polyps. They prefer indirect flow over direct blasts. Placement: Position your bubble coral in the lower to mid-water column where it gets consistent light without being directly exposed to high-velocity flow. Bubble corals are semi-aggressive, so give them space away from other corals to prevent stinging and territorial disputes. Feeding: While bubble corals get nutrition from their zooxanthellae, they benefit from occasional micro-feedings of phytoplankton or small particulate foods. Feed 2–3 times per week, especially if your tank lacks natural plankton populations. Water Parameters: Maintain stable salinity (1.025–1.026), pH (8.1–8.4), and temperature (75–79°F). Keep calcium and alkalinity in balance—aim for 400+ ppm calcium and 8–12 dKH alkalinity for optimal growth.
